Little Moreton Hall (N.T.) is just 1 mile. Town amenities in Congleton (5 miles), whilst Chester, with its zoo and Roman wall, is within easy reach. The famous Pottery towns are only 8 miles away, with visitor centres, factory shopping and Waterworld swimming leisure centre. Within 15 miles are Quarry Bank Mill, Tatton Park, Biddulph Grange, Stapeley Water Gardens and the exciting Jodrell Bank Science Centre. The Alton Towers theme park with its array of ’white knuckle’ rides is 20 miles. There is a small marina shop on the adjacent boatyard (open in season), and a village shop can be found 0.75 miles away.

Reviews
A lovely cottage, all rooms were very spacious and furnished to a high, modern standard. The living area looks out directly onto the canal, and there is a great little country pub within a 2 minute walk. You really do feel like you're away from it all, but Congleton town centre is also a 10 minute drive away, with Stoke city centre just 11 miles away should you need any extras.

Cheshire is a surprisingly rural county, ideal for an escape to the countryside, as you’ll discover on a break in one of our holiday cottages in Cheshire. There’s plenty of good walking in the Delamere Forest and across the Cheshire plain. The historic city of Chester also makes a great day out. It was founded by the Romans who were the original architects of the city walls that still surround the cathedral on two sides. Don’t miss the Roman Amphitheatre nor the ornate Chester Rows, an unusual series of buildings with shops on two levels – perhaps the first shopping mall in England!
Our holiday cottages in Cheshire are also within easy reach of the golden triangle, the affluent area around Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Wlmslow and Prestbury. A favourite with footballers, there are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity. For something completely different, visit Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, an old cotton mill, now transformed into a living museum of the old cotton industry. Meanwhile, railway enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Crewe, once the centre of the British Railway industry. And don’t forget, you’re also an easy drive from Liverpool, European Capital of Culture for 2008.
